Five Blue Jays Named to NFHCA All-Region Team

Most Selections in Program History

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – After its fourth national runner-up finish in the 2025 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship, the Johns Hopkins field hockey team had several athletes recognized with All-Region honors, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced Wednesday. Graduate student Jenna Halpin and juniors Aubrey Kilgore and Caeli Robinson were named to the first team, while senior Megan Chang and sophomore Ada Farmer were named to the second team.

The five all-region selections are the first time in program history that Johns Hopkins has had more than four selections and the sixth time since 2018 the Blue Jays have had at least four student-athletes selected to an all-region team. 31 Blue Jays have been named NFHCA All-Region under head coach Jane Wells and 84 all-time in JHU history. The five selections are the most for any school in Region V.

Halpin earned First Team NFHCA All-Region for the second straight season and is the 11th Blue Jay to do so. The Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year, she started all 24 games and counts five goals and a team-high 13 assists for 23 points to her credit. She was a key part of a Blue Jay defense that allowed just 19 goals in 24 games including 13 shutouts – two of which came in the 2025 NCAA Field Hockey Championships.

Kilgore, who previously earned NFHCA Second Team honors in 2024, earned her first career NFHCA First Team selection. The junior started all 24 games and sports a 0.83 goals against average, a .851 save percentage and a 20-2 record on the year. She ranks 11th in the nation in goals against average and sixth in save percentage. Kilgore becomes the fifth goalkeeper in program history be named to an all-region team twice.

Robinson, named to the 2025 NCAA Field Hockey Championship All-Tournament Team, collects her first career all-region honor, being named to the First Team. The junior also started all 24 games on the season and has started 44 of the Blue Jays' 47 games since the start of the 2024 season. She has tallied the second-most goals (7) and six assists for 20 points to her credit and is the anchor of the Blue Jay defense that counts those 13 shutouts to its credit. The unit allowed just 8.5 shots per game and ranks eighth in the nation in team goals against average (0.80).

Chang enjoyed the most productive season of her career, making her first appearance on the NFHCA All-Region team. A starter in all 24 games, she holds the team-lead in goals (10) and points (28) and ranks second in assists (8). Named to the 2025 NCAA Field Hockey Championship All-Tournament Team, Chang was the recipient of the Elite 90 Award – an honor that is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest GPA at each NCAA Championship.

Farmer emerged as one of the top young defenders in the nation this season as she started all 24 games. Her first career all-region selection, the sophomore counts two assists to her credit and has been instrumental in the success of the Blue Jay defense, which has allowed just 19 goals and has 13 shutouts to its credit. In the last 19 games – 18 of which were Johns Hopkins wins – the unit has allowed just seven goals with all 13 of those shutouts coming during that time.
