Logan Callahan has been named the Big Ten Specialist of the Week it was announced today. Callahan helped lead the way in a 12-9 Blue Jay victory at Navy last Saturday night.

In the win against the Midshipmen, Callahan was 20-of-24 at the X with 15 ground balls to his credit. The 20 faceoff wins are a career-high for Callahan and the most by a Johns Hopkins player since
Tyler Dunn won 20 in a win at Towson early in the 2022 season. In addition, Callahan tied his career high with the 15 ground balls in the victory. His 15 ground balls are tied for the third most by a Division I player this season.

Through eight games, Callahan is 109-of-178 (.612) on faceoffs with one goal, one assist and a team-high 61 ground balls to his credit. He currently ranks 12
th in the nation in faceoff winning percentage and eighth in ground balls per game (7.50). Callahan now ranks 10
th in career faceoff attempts (629) at Johns Hopkins and 11
th in faceoff wins (336); he also grabbed the 200
th ground ball of his career in the win at Navy and now has 201.

Johns Hopkins (6-2) will return to action on Saturday, March 22 when the Blue Jays welcome Rutgers (4-5) to Homewood Field for the Big Ten opener for both teams.
