Reagan O'Brien has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week it was announced today. This is her first career conference weekly honor, and she is the fourth Blue Jay to be honored by the B1G this season.
O'Brien led the Johns Hopkins defense with seven caused turnovers and two ground balls in the win over Rutgers. She also had an assist in the win. The seven caused turnovers tied the school single-game record as the Blue Jays held the Scarlet Knights more than six goals below their season scoring average (12.20).
O'Brien leads the team in caused turnovers (34) and ranks second in ground balls. She has also tallied a pair of assists this season.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, March 26 as the Blue Jays visit the 14
th-ranked James Madison Dukes. Opening draw at Sentara Park is slated for 5:00 pm.
