LANCASTER, PA – After leading the Blue Jays to three conference wins, Johns Hopkins second baseman Jimmy Stevens was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week. This is the graduate student's first career player of the week honor and makes him the second Blue Jay of the season to be recognized.
 
Stevens powered Hopkins to a three-win week, leading the offense in victories over McDaniel (13–2) and a doubleheader sweep of Haverford (12–7, 19–6). The New Albany, Ohio native went 6-for-14 (.429) at the plate, racking up 13 RBIs, scoring six runs and tallying a double, a triple and three home runs—all against Haverford, including a multi-homer performance in game one.
 
Stevens is slashing .366/.431/.723 on the year, with 41 hits, 35 RBIs, six doubles, 31 runs, 11 walks and a team-leading 10 home runs and two triples.
 
Hopkins returns to action tonight Tuesday, April 15 taking on Dickinson with first pitch scheduled for 3:30 PM.
