CLAREMONT, CA – Johns Hopkins sophomore
Chakor Rajendra's run at the 2025 NCAA Singles Championship came to an end Saturday in the quarterfinals.
Rajendra faced off against seventh-ranked Noah Laber for the second time in less than two weeks. And just like that meeting in the Sweet 16 of the team championship, the match went to three sets. Unlike that last meeting, this match would not go unfinished. Laber took the first set 6-3, but Rajendra battled back to take the second, 6-2. Laber answered with a 6-2 win in the deciding set to earn a spot in the national semifinals.
Rajendra ends his season with 22 singles wins, tied for fifth most in Johns Hopkins history. He now boasts 41 wins in his career, which ranks 23
rd in program history.
