COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Johns Hopkins field hockey team will open the season ranked fifth in the 2025 Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Preseason Coaches Poll. The Blue Jays are ranked in the top-five to start the season for the sixth consecutive year.
Hopkins is coming off its sixth consecutive Centennial Conference championship. The Blue Jays finished the 2024 campaign with a 19-4 record and a sixth straight berth in the NCAA Quarterfinals. Ten of Johns Hopkins' 2025 opponents are ranked in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Preseason Poll, including five in the top-10.
Hopkins is set to open the season on Friday, August 29 versus Washington & Lee at Homewood Field. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm.
