BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse coach
Peter Milliman announced the Blue Jays' 2026 schedule today; the 13-game regular-season schedule includes eight home games, five away games and five consecutive Big Ten games to close the regular-season. Spring competition for the Blue Jays will begin with a scrimmage at UMBC on January 24.
Â
Final game times and television schedules will be announced at a later date. Today's announced schedule includes a tentative game date on a specific weekend, but the exact date has not been finalized on that weekend.
Â
After the scrimmage on January 24, the Blue Jays will open the season at home against Robert Morris (Jan. 31). The game against the Colonials will be the first-ever between the two teams and the first-ever Johns Hopkins game in the month of January.
Â
The Blue Jays will play three games in February away from home as they'll travel to Georgetown (Feb. 7), North Carolina (Feb. 21) and Virginia (Feb. 28) with home games slotted for February 10 against Towson and February 14 against Loyola.
Â
Johns Hopkins will then play nearly as many home game in March (3) as it did during the entire 2025 season, when the Blue Jays played just five of 14 games at Homewood Field. A three-game March homestand will open against Syracuse (Mar. 7) and will also feature games against Navy (Mar. 14) and the Big Ten-opener against Michigan (Mar. 21). Johns Hopkins will wrap up the month of March at Rutgers on the weekend of March 27.
Â
The Blue Jays will flip the calendar to April and bookend three Big Ten regular-season games in the month with home matchups against Penn State (Apr. 4) and Maryland (Apr. 18) around a road trip to Ohio State the weekend of April 11. Johns Hopkins will celebrate Homecoming when the Terrapins visit Homewood Field. As is tradition, the Homecoming game is scheduled for 2 pm.
Â
For the sixth consecutive year, all six teams in the Big Ten will qualify for the Big Ten Tournament in 2026. The top two teams in the final league standing will earn a bye into the semifinals with the teams that finish third through sixth playing quarterfinal games on Saturday, April 25. The number three and four seeds in the tournament will host those quarterfinal games.
Â
Rutgers will host the Big Ten Semifinals and Championship (April 30, May 2). This will be the second time the Scarlett Knights have hosted the event (2019).
Â
Johns Hopkins' 13 regular season opponents compiled a 128-82 (.610) record in 2025 with its eight non-conference opponents rolling up a 74-54 (.578) record. In addition, eight of the 13 qualified for the NCAA Tournament with three of those teams advancing to championship weekend.
Â
As they have every year since 2006, all Johns Hopkins home games will air on the ESPN family of networks. While that exact schedule has not been finalized, any games that do not air live on ESPNU will air live on ESPN+; the ESPN+ broadcasts will then air via tape delay on ESPNU (generally within 24 hours).Â
Â
Television schedules for away games will be announced when available. Games not available on television will be streamed live by the host school.
