LANCASTER, PA – Competing in its first conference championship meet in a decade, Johns Hopkins started strong with two relay titles and two conference records. The Blue Jays sit in first place with 116 points through the first two events.
Hopkins opened the championship with a win in the 200 Medley Relay, the program's first conference title in the event since 2007.

Larry Yu,
Avery Clapp and
Michael Ivanov finished in 1:27.96, an NCAA B time and the third fastest in program history. In addition, the team of
Dylan Jewett,
Justin Ely,
Kai Henrikson-Brandt and
Christian Mayr won the B Final with a time of 1:30.41.
The Blue Jays made it two wins in two events as they grabbed first in the 800 Free Relay. Yu, Clapp,
Ken Ning and
Josiah March swam an NCAA B time of 6:35.10 to earn the win by more than 3.2 seconds. It is the first conference title in the event since 2010 and is also the eighth fastest time in program history. JHU also took first in the B final as
Larkin Helman,
Bryce Lloyd,
Alessandro Pereira and Mayr finished in 6:47.51.
The championships continue Friday, February 20 with the prelims of the 500 Free at 10:00 am. The finals are scheduled for a 6:00 pm start.
