Biography

At Hopkins: Will start in centerfield for the third consecutive year •Co-captain •third all-time at Hopkins with 23 career home runs and 11th with 108 RBIs • first player in JHU history to hit at least 10 home runs in two different seasons

2004: All-Centennial Conference First Team selection • batted .336 with a team-high 10 home runs and 50 runs batted in •ranked third on the team with 39 runs scored, stole a team-high 31 bases and added 42 hits and 12 doubles • 18th in Division III with 0.78 stolen bases per game • had two three-hit games and seven two-hit games.

2003: Centennial Player-of-the-Year • 1st Team All-Centennial • 1st Team All-Region • Mid-Atlantic Regional All-Tournament Team • • started 33 of the 34 games in which he played • batted .397 with a team-high 50 hits in 126 at-bats • led the team in runs (46), doubles (13), home runs (12), RBIs (46), stolen bases (12), total bases (103) and slugging percentage (.817) • hit .435 (27-for-62) with runners in scoring position • his 12 home runs and .817 slugging percentage rank third on JHU[apos]s single-season lists • was 4-for-5 with four runs, two home runs and five RBIs against No. 5 Wooster on March 13 • collected three hits in four at-bats with three runs and a two-run home run versus St. Joseph[apos]s on March 14 • belted a game-winning two-run home run against Swarthmore on April 6 in a 4-3 win •went 4-for-6 with four runs, three home runs, including two grand slams, and 11 runs batted in a 32-2 win over Washington on April 14 • tied the NCAA record with two grand slams in a game and was one RBI shy of tying the record for RBIs in a game • batted .353 (6-for-17) with four runs, two home runs and six RBIs in four NCAA Tournament games.

2002: Played in 20 games making seven starts • batted .359 with 14 hits in 39 at-bats • totaled 10 runs, four doubles, one home run and 12 runs batted in • also stole three bases • collected a hit in his first career at-bat against Messiah in the season opener • was 1-for-4 with three RBIs in JHU[apos]s 27-7 win over Robert Morris on March 16 • scored three runs versus Chicago on March 20 • stole two bases and went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI in a win over Catholic on April 3 • was 2-for-2 with his first career home run and three runs batted in against Dickinson on April 12 • drove in two runs with a single in his only at-bat versus Muhlenberg on April 27 • went 2-for-2 with a double, one run and one RBI in a win over Neumann on April 29.

Personal: Also a member of the water polo and swimming teams at McDonogh School in Baltimore •all-state baseball performer and was selected to play in the Crown All-Star game featuring the best players in Maryland • majoring in public health •hopes to play professional baseball following graduation.
