At Hopkins: Will compete to be JHU[apos]s starting catcher • Enters season as the catcher with the most game experience.

2004: Appeared in 18 games with five starts as designated hitter or behind the plate • batted .370 with 10 hits, seven runs and three runs batted in •went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a start against Elizabethtown.

2003: Played in 10 games making four starts • hit .294 with five hits in 17 at-bats • also totaled one double and three runs batted in • was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI against Transylvania on March 10 in his first career start • collected a hit and an RBI in games versus Catholic on April 3 and Swarthmore on April 6.

Personal: Member of District Championship team his senior year at Lake Brantley High School • team was ranked in the top 20 in the nation • plans to attend law school and work in national politics after graduation • majoring in political science.
