CARLISLE, PA - Johns Hopkins captured its fourth Centennial Conference win in a row, as the Blue Jays rolled past the Red Devils of Dickinson, 3-0 (30-17, 30-18, 30-28), in women's volleyball on Tuesday night.
The Blue Jays improved their overall record to 18-5, with a 4-1 Centennial record. Hopkins matched their win total of 18 from last season with tonight's victory. Dickinson dropped to 6-12 overall, 1-5 in league play.
Hopkins held its own defensively, as the Red Devils attacked at just a .013 rate. Leading the charge once again was junior Lizzie Kay (Pacific Palisades, CA/The Cate School), who collected match-high honors with 20 digs.
On the offensive side, seniors Jen Hajj (Boca Raton, FL/Pope John Paul II) and Katie O'Callaghan (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) registered double-digit kill efforts, with 18 and 12, respectively.
Freshman Amanda Lewis (San Antonio, TX/St. Mary's Hall) had her 19th match with 40 or more assists, tallying 41 to go along with four aces.
Leading the way for Dickinson was junior Jen Voltz and her 15 assists, and senior Ashley Lakin with eight digs.
The Blue Jays resume Centennial Conference action on Saturday at Haverford, with match time set for 1 p.m.
