GETTYSBURG, PA - After tying the game in the ninth on a Craig Hoelzer triple to right, the Jays gave up the final run on a Scott Zanghellini walk-off single in the 10th, scoring Will Anderson from second as Hopkins fell, 4-3.
Hopkins got the game started with a quick start in the first. Conor Reynolds led things off with a single to center, followed by a Thomas Mee walk. Next up was Colin McCarthy, who singled in Reynolds, putting Hopkins on the board, 1-0, three batters in.
The Jays added one more in the fourth, as Reynolds and Mee logged consecutive singles before Hoelzer singled in Reynolds, giving the Jays a two run lead.
Gettysburg answered with a consecutive runs in the fourth and fifth, before Henry Klimowicz went yard to start the sixth, giving the Bullets a 3-2 lead before Hoelzer tied it up with his triple in the ninth.
The Jays are back in action tomorrow, as they host Alvernia for a 4:00 pm game.
