The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's fencing team returned to Goldfarb Gym for the first time since February 2020 and picked up two wins over Lafayette.

How it Happened
• In round one, Hopkins swept the weapons with a combined 22 wins. Freshman
Diya Kulkarni won all three of her bouts to lead the Epee squad to a 7-2 win. In the Sabre (6-3), senior
Brooke Stanicki, junior
Cherlin Zhu and freshman
Sanya Bawa each won two bouts. Juniors
Erika Wong and
Miya Herman and sophomore
Alexandra McDonald combined to lead the Foil squad to a 9-0 win.
• Round two, saw the Blue Jays do one better – dropping just four bouts in the win. Senior
Shaina Morris and freshman
Maya Zhang each won their three bouts to lead the Epee squad to an 8-1 win. Bawa also won her three bouts as the Sabre squad earned a 6-3 win. And in the Foil, McDonald, Wong and Herman again combined for the shutout.

• Hopkins moves to 7-0 all-time against Lafayette and is 3-0 against the Leopards this season.
• Wong moves into a tie for 12
th in program history with 117 career wins.
