BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins placed nine on the 2026 United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-Region Teams it was announced Monday. These all-region teams are determined based on result and field size at each of the NCAA Regional competitions.
The Blue Jays' nine selections are the most of any Division III school in the nation and are the second most in program history. JHU has now produced 36 USFCA All-Region selections since the award's inception in 2022. Seniors

Nina Markovsky were named to the USFCA Division III all-region squad in the Foil. Senior

Maddie Huang earned the honor in the Sabre and junior

Nicole Yu did so in the Epee.
Cepero, the program's all-time wins leader in the Foil, earns all-region honors for the fourth time in her career. She and Chang are the first fencers in program history to earn all-region honors four times. Cepero placed 22
nd at the regional championship and led the Foil squad with 80 wins. Her 80 wins are tied for 10
th most in program history. Chang led the Sabre squad with 68 wins and finished in 13
th place at the NCAA Regional. She ranks second in program history with 353 career Sabre wins.
Lee took 21
st place at the regional and went 60-29 this season to earn all-region honors for the third time. She ranks third in JHU history with 252 career Foil wins. Markovsky ranked second on the Foil squad with 75 wins, the fourth most by a freshman Foilist in program history. She finished in 14
th place at the NCAA Regional. Wu grabs all-region honors for the second time after placing 18
th at the regional championship. She went 62-31 this season and with 166 career Foil wins, ranks 11
th in program history.
Prieur earns all-region honors for the third time in her career after finishing in 25
th place at the regional. She finished second on the Sabre squad with 45 wins and now ranks 9
th in JHU history with 180 career wins. Huang placed 23
rd at the regional to earn all-region honors for the second time. She now counts 84 career Sabre wins.
Kale placed 24
th at the NCAA Regional to earn all-region honors for the second time in her career. She posted 35 wins this season and ranks 15
th in program history with 130 career Epee wins. Yu finished in 16
th place at the regional championship and led the Epee squad in wins. Her 75 wins are the most by a Blue Jay Epeeist since 2018 and are third most by a freshman in JHU history.
