After an incredible run through the NCAA Regional in St. Paul, MN, the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays will open their 2021 College World Series run against top-seeded WashU on Friday morning in Cedar Rapids, IA. 

The Blue Jays (15-4) and Bears (32-4) will open up the DIII World Series at 11 a.m. ET on Friday. The winner of the contest will play at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday against the game two winner, while the loser of the contest will take on the loser of game two at 11 a.m. on Saturday. 

This is the Blue Jays fifth trip to the College World Series and secon straight after the 2020 postseason was wiped out due to COVID-19. Hopkins is 9-8 all-time in College World Series contests and has finished third or better in three of their four previous trips. This will be the first meeting between the programs since 2001.
