Meet Highlights
- Fresh off an indoor national championship, sophomore Victoria Kadiri shattered a school record with an 11.77m triple jump. This was the first time Kadiri ever competed in the event at the collegiate level. Kadiri also ran a time of 12.44 in the 100-meter dash, placing 16th out of 44 in the preliminary round. It's a new PR for Kadiri and ties for the fourth-best mark in JHU program history.
- Julia Zambo opened up her 2022 outdoor campaign with a new personal best in the hammer throw. Zambo entered this season with a top throw of 42.12m and kicked off her season with a 42.17m chuck, placing 15th in a field of over 40 athletes.
- Sydney Friedel led a swath of Blue Jays competing in the women's 1,500. Friedel placed seventh out of 50 with a time of 4:44.99. Anna Stouffer (4:57.69) and Emma Whitehead (4:59.38) also posted sub-5:00 times for the Jays.
- Freshman Eleni Alvarez placed fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing with a time of 12:15.99.
