Hopkins Places Six on CSC Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins placed six Blue Jays on the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team. The six student-athletes represent three sports – fencing, field hockey and lacrosse.
 
First, Second and Third Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 16. Sports included in the Women's At-Large category include beach volleyball, bowling, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, rifle, rowing, skiing and water polo. Nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or significant reserve.
 
Earning CSC Academic All-District honors are Jennifer Barry (women's lacrosse), Jordan Carr (women's lacrosse), Diya Kulkarni (fencing), Alexis Loder (field hockey), Mikayla Schoff (field hockey) and Siena Urbanski (field hockey).
 
The Blue Jay field hockey program has now produced nine CSC Academic All-District selections, including seven in the last three seasons. Kulkarni is the fourth women's fencer to earn the honor, with all four selections coming since 2019. Barry and Carr are the fifth and sixth JHU women's lacrosse players to earn Academic All-District accolades with four of the six selections coming in the last two season.

Major: Healthcare Management
• Holds Johns Hopkins single-game (16) and single-season (133) record for draw controls
• Honorable Mention USA Lacrosse All-American
• Second Team All-Big Ten
• Two-time CSC Academic All-District
• Led the Big Ten, ranked 13th in the nation in draw controls (133)
• Ranks 9th in NCAA history in career draw controls (511)
 
Jordan Carr (Sr. • D)
Lacrosse
Major: Public Health
• Ranks 2nd in Johns Hopkins single-season history for caused turnovers (52)
• Ranks 9th in JHU history in career caused turnovers (74)
• Second Team IWLCA All-American, Third Team USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse All-American
• First Team All-Big Ten, First Team IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic
• Ranked 5th in the nation in caused turnovers (52) and 4th in ground balls (56)
• Also scored five goals from her defensive position
 
Diya Kulkarni (Sr. • DS)
Fencing
Major: Public Health
• Fulbright Research Grant recipient
• Ranks 7th in Johns Hopkins history in career Epee wins (155)
• 2024 USFCA Division III Co-Epee Athlete of the Year
• 2024 First Team USFCA All-American
• Two-time First Team All-EWFC
• Led Epee squad with 65 wins in 2023-24
 
Alexis Loder (Sr. • GK)
Field Hockey
Major: Neuroscience
• Holds Johns Hopkins record for career goals against average (0.64), wins (40) and games played (68)
• Also ranks third in JHU history in career shutouts (19) and 9th in career save percentage (.833)
• Tied for 13th in NCAA Division III history in career goals against average
• Ranks 3rd among all active goalies in the NCAA, across all divisions, in career goals against average
• Second Team NFHCA All-American, First Team NFHCA All-Region
• Second Team All-Centennial Conference
 
Mikayla Schoff (Sr. • M)
Field Hockey
Major: Environmental Science, Public Health
• NCAA All-Tournament Team
• Two-time NFHCA All-Region, 2023 NFHCA Senior Team
• Two-time All-Centennial Conference
• Totaled 6 goals, 7 assists, 3 game-winning goals and 2 defensive saves in 2023
• Ranked third in the Centennial Conference in assists
• Scored the game-winning goal in the NCAA Quarterfinals and Semifinals
