Harvey Named D3football.com Region 2 Offensive Player of the Year, Seven Jays Honored

Quarterback Becomes JHU's Second Regional OPOY

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Johns Hopkins graduate student quarterback Bay Harvey was named the D3football.com Region 2 Offensive Player of the Year and seven Blue Jays were honored as D3football.com announced its six all-region teams along with Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year and Coaches of the Year.
 
Johns Hopkins had a school-record six players earn First Team D3football.com All-Region honors with one second team honoree.  This is the fifth consecutive year that Johns Hopkins has had four or more players named to the team and the seven selections are tied for the third-highest total in program history.  This is also the 15th time since D3footbal.com first selected an all-region team in 2005 that four or more Blue Jays have been honored and the seven selections this season boost Johns Hopkins' all-time total to 90 all-region honorees.

Bay Harvey (Gr. • QB) – Offensive Player of the Year | First Team All-Region
• JHU's second D3football.com Regional Offensive Player of the Year (Ryan Stevens | 2022)
• Earns all-region honors for second time in career (2023| 2nd Team)
• This is the eighth time a JHU quarterback has earned all-region honors
• First Team All-Centennial Conference this season
• Gagliardi Trophy Semifinalist
• Has thrown for 2,914 yards and 29 TDs against four INTs and has rushed for 584 yards and 10 TDs this season
• Ranks seventh nationally in pass efficiency (179.9), ninth in points responsible for (234), 13th in completion percentage (.694) and 21st in total offense (291.5 yards/game)
 
Carson Bourdo (Sr. • S) – First Team All-Region
• Making second appearance on the all-region team
• The 12th defensive back to earn all-region honors for JHU and the fourth safety in five years to be selected
• The second JHU defensive back to twice earn first team all-region honors (Jack Toner | 2015, 2016)
• 2025 Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year
• First Team All-Centennial Conference in 2024 and 2025
• Tied for fouth on the team in tackles (49), tied for the team lead in interceptions (4) and tied for third in pass breakups (6)
 
Cole Crotty (Jr. • WR) – First Team All-Region
• Earns all-region honors for the first time
• Ninth JHU wide receiver to earn all-region honors
• Second JHU wide receiver to earn first team all-region honors (Dan Wodicka | 2011)
• First Team All-Centennial Conference
• Leads the team in receptions (76), receiving yards (1,239) and touchdown receptions (13)
• 13 TD receptions are tied for third on JHU's single-season list
• 1,239 receiving yards rank fourth on JHU's single-season list
 
Michael Nwosu (Sr. • OL/T) – First Team All-Region
• Earns First Team All-Region for the third consecutive year and selection marks the 22nd time a JHU offensive lineman has made the team
• Third player – and second offensive lineman – in program history to earn First Team All-Region honors three times
• First Team All-Centennial Conference for the third consecutive year
• Helping lead the way for an offense averaging 41.6 points and 462.3 yards per game.
• Has started a school-record 50 consecutive games
 
Geoff Schroeder (Sr. • RB) – First Team All-Region
• Making first appearance on the all-region team
• Sixth JHU running back to earn all-region honors
• Second JHU running back to earn first team all-region honors (Andrew Kase | 2009)
• First Team All-Centennial Conference
• Has rushed for 1,199 yards (99.9/game) and 19 touchdowns
• Also has 28 receptions for 248 yards and two touchdowns
• 1,199 rushing yards this season rank fourth in school history
• 19 rushing TDs this season are tied for third in JHU single-season history
• 21 overall TDs this season are tied for fourth in JHU single-season history
 
Will Seibert (Jr. • DL) – First Team All-Region
• Making first appearance on the all-region team
• Fifth JHU defensive lineman to earn first team all-region honors
• Along with Isaac Urquidi's selection, JHU has now produced 13 all-region defensive linemen
• First Team All-Centennial Conference
• Ranks sixth on the team in tackles (43), first in sacks (5) and third in tackles for loss (8.5)
 
Isaac Urquidi (Sr. • DL) – Second Team All-Region
• Making first appearance on the all-region team
• Along with Will Seibert's selection, JHU has now produced 13 all-region defensive linemen
• First Team All-Centennial Conference for second consecutive season
• Ranks seventh on the team in tackles (47), first tackles for loss (11.0) and fourth in sacks (3.5)
 
Johns Hopkins (11-1) will return to action on Saturday, December 13 when the Blue Jays host Susquehanna (11-2) in the NCAA Quarterfinals at Homewood Field (12 pm).
