Coleman Named to Allstate NACDA Good Works Team

NORTHBROOK, IL – Johns Hopkins senior Scotty Coleman is among the 20 student-athletes named to the first-ever Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall) for their dedication to leadership, service and community impact. The fall team includes men and women from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, junior/community college and the NAIA and represent seven collegiate sports.

Expanding recognition across all sports
Announced in December (2024), the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team now recognizes 60 student-athletes annually across fall, winter and spring seasons, surpassing more than 500 nominees during its first year, when winter and spring teams were selected.

About the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team: The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was established in 2024 to recognize male and female student-athletes across all collegiate sports and divisions for their leadership in community service, academics and athletics. Building on the legacy of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, which has honored college football players since 1992, this expanded initiative highlights the impact of student-athletes who go beyond the game to serve others.  The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team is still in place to recognize college football players; the overall fall sports program, of which Coleman is a nominee, does not include football players.

Holly Rowe, ESPN reporter, play-by-play commentator:
"This team represents the best of what student-athletes can achieve beyond their sport," said Holly Rowe, ESPN reporter. "These student-athletes are transforming their communities through genuine service and leadership, spotlighting college athletics at its most powerful and purposeful form."

Coleman is majoring in neuroscience and carries a 3.95 cumulative grade point average on a pre-med track.  He has been named to the Dean's List in each of his six semesters at Johns Hopkins and has posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in each of his last three semesters.

Coleman earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors as a junior and has twice been named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.  He has played in 51 games with 22 starts and counts 10 goals and four assists to his credit while helping Johns Hopkins to three trips to the NCAA Tournament and back-to-back Centennial Conference titles in 2023 and 2024.

Coleman has been actively involved with two key initiatives over the last two years that led to his nomination to the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team:
