BALTIMORE, MD –
Mason Hofmann has been honored by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) for his performance in Johns Hopkins' win over Mount St. Mary's. He was named both the MPSF East/Delfina Player of the Week and MSPF East/S&R Sport Newcomer of the Week.
Hopkins has now produced the newcomer of the week in each of the last four weeks. This is Hofmann's second time earning the award. It is also the third time in the last four weeks that JHU has had the player of the week and this is Hofmann's first selection.
In Hopkins' only game of the week, and the Blue Jays' home opener, Hofmann led JHU to a 21-19 win over Mount St. Mary's. He scored five goals and assisted on two more, while also grabbing two steals and drawing an ejection. Hofmann leads the Blue Jays in scoring (33) and ranks second in points (44). He also ranks fourth in steals (17).
JHU returns to action on Thursday, October 9 as the Blue Jays host the George Washington Revolutionaries.
