LANCASTER, PA – Following its 15
th consecutive Centennial Conference Championship, the Johns Hopkins women's indoor track & field team saw several athletes earn All-Conference recognition. The Blue Jays also swept the conference's major awards, as
Adriana Catalano,
Erika Ezumba and
Ani Wedemeyer were named Track Athlete of the Year, Field Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year, respectively, while
Bobby Van Allen's staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the eighth straight season.
Catalano was named Track Athlete of the Year following a stellar indoor campaign. The senior ran one of the fastest miles in Division III history earlier this season at the Dr. Sander Scorcher, clocking a personal-best 4:49.58. Her time ranks second in program history and third in conference history. It also currently stands fourth in Division III this season and ranks as the 20
th-fastest performance ever recorded at the Division III level. Catalano also played a key role on the distance medley relay team that captured the conference title at last week's championship meet, helping the Blue Jays set a new meet record in the event.
Ezumba earned Field Athlete of the Year honors after capturing conference titles in both the weight throw and shot put, in addition to being named the Field's Most Outstanding Performer at the championship meet. The senior continued her record-breaking season on the conference stage, shattering the Centennial, meet and school records in the weight throw with a mark of 19.59 meters. The throw currently ranks second in Division III this season and eighth all-time in Division III history. With the victory, Ezumba secured her third consecutive conference title in the event.
Wedemeyer was named Rookie of the Year following an impressive debut indoor season. The freshman became the program's first freshman champion—and seventh overall—in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:13.69. She also contributed to the conference-winning DMR, which set a meet record with a time of 11:39.24, currently the fourth-fastest mark in Division III this season.

Hopkins also added 11 Second Team All-Conference selections, including
Chloe Zhang (60, long jump), Arcese (800),
Carter Brotherton (3000),
Cooper Brotherton (5000),
Ellie Lewis,
Leah Valentine,
Anna Zinsser and Saussy as members of the 4x200 relay team and
Phoebe Williams (weight throw, shot put).
Rounding out the Blue Jays' All-Conference selections were
Gabrielle Moore (400),
Diana Valentini (800), Kothari (3000),
Cameron Coletti (5000), Ouimet (60 hurdles) and
Sarah Soto (pole vault), who each earned Honorable Mention recognition.
Evelyne Kim was also named Johns Hopkins' representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
