BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins baseball program earned major recognition this week as six student-athletes received ABCA/Rawlings All-Region V honors, announced Tuesday. The Blue Jays' six All-Region selections are the most in Region V. It also marks the third consecutive season Hopkins has produced six All-Region honorees.
William Jaun earned First Team honors, while
Clay Hartje,
Jacob Harris and
Keiffer Ary were named to the Second Team. Additionally,
Alex Shane and
Dylan Zucker were named to the Third Team.
Jaun added First Team All-Region honors to an already impressive debut season after previously earning First Team All-Conference recognition. The graduate transfer has started all 48 games and is one of three Blue Jays hitting .385 or better, slashing .389/.470/.683. He leads the team with 70 hits and ranks second with 68 RBIs while adding 14 doubles and 13 home runs. Earlier this season, Jaun earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week and D3Baseball.com Team of the Week honors after batting .579 (11-for-19) with 16 RBIs, 11 runs scored and three home runs during a four-game stretch that featured wins over then-No. 15 Gettysburg and a doubleheader sweep of Muhlenberg. He currently ranks second in the conference and 14th nationally in RBIs.
Hartje earned the first All-Region honor of his career with Second Team recognition. The two-time D3Baseball.com Team of the Week selection and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division III Hitter of the Week owns a .340/.483/.742 slash line with a team-best 1.225 OPS. The catcher has totaled 54 hits, 66 RBIs, 12 doubles and a team-high 16 home runs while drawing 43 walks, the second-most on the team. Hartje was named the Centennial Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player after an explosive performance in which he went 9-for-14 (.643) with 18 RBIs and six home runs — including two grand slams — posting an astounding 2.671 OPS.
Harris collected the first All-Region honor of his career with Second Team recognition following a standout senior campaign. He is batting .335/.450/.659 with 56 hits, 52 RBIs and 15 home runs while adding 13 stolen bases. Harris ranks 16th nationally in home runs and earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors earlier this season after hitting .563 (9-for-16) with four home runs — including two grand slams — and 12 RBIs during a four-game span. He also earned D3Baseball.com Team of the Week recognition twice this season, once as a second baseman and once as an outfielder.
Ary added a Second Team All-Region selection to a breakout sophomore campaign. After beginning the season as the team's backup catcher, Ary emerged as a key contributor at designated hitter. In conference play, he batted .420/.531/.720 with a 1.269 OPS across 15 games, recording 21 of his 30 total hits, 18 of his 25 RBIs and four of his six home runs. Ary is the only Blue Jay hitting .400 or better this season.
Shane secured his fourth All-Region selection, being named to the Third Team. The senior right fielder batted .387/.491/.630 with a team-high 70 hits, 66 runs, 55 RBIs, eight home runs and holds the team lead in doubles (18), while adding 36 walks. He is the third student-athlete in program history to be named All-Region four times, joining
Kieren Collins and
Shawn Steuerer as the only players to achieve this feat.
Zucker made an immediate impact in his first season in a Hopkins uniform, earning Third Team honors as the Blue Jays' closer. Across 21 appearances, the graduate student owns a team-best 2.32 ERA over 31.0 innings with a 2-1 record and eight saves while limiting opponents to a .218 batting average. He has allowed just eight earned runs and struck out 25 batters this season. Zucker's eight saves are tied for the most in a single season in program history and currently lead the conference while ranking ninth nationally.
Hopkins opens play at the 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship on Friday, May 29, in Eastlake, Ohio, against Baldwin Wallace. First pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m.
