Five Blue Jays, Coaching Staff Earn D3Baseball.com All-Region Recognition

BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins baseball program earned major recognition this week as five student-athletes and the coaching staff received D3Baseball.com All-Region V honors, announced Tuesday. The Blue Jays' five All-Region selections are tied with Salisbury — also headed to the Division III World Series — for the most in Region V. It also marks the third consecutive season Hopkins has produced at least five All-Region honorees.

Clay Hartje, William Jaun and Dylan Zucker earned First Team honors, while Jacob Harris and Keiffer Ary were named to the Third Team.

Additionally, first-year head coach Nate Mulberg was named the Region V Coach of the Year after leading the Blue Jays to a 38-10 overall record and a 13-5 mark in Centennial Conference play. Under Mulberg's guidance, Hopkins captured its 20th Centennial Conference title — and fourth straight — along with its ninth NCAA Regional championship, fourth Super Regional title and eighth Division III World Series appearance.

Hartje earned the first All-Region honor of his career with First Team recognition. The two-time D3Baseball.com Team of the Week selection and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division III Hitter of the Week owns a .340/.483/.742 slash line with a team-best 1.225 OPS. The catcher has totaled 54 hits, 66 RBIs, 12 doubles and a team-high 16 home runs while drawing 43 walks, the second-most on the team. Hartje was named the Centennial Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player after an explosive performance in which he went 9-for-14 (.643) with 18 RBIs and six home runs — including two grand slams — posting an astounding 2.671 OPS.

Jaun added First Team All-Region honors to an already impressive debut season after previously earning First Team All-Conference recognition. The graduate transfer has started all 48 games and is one of three Blue Jays hitting .385 or better, slashing .389/.470/.683. He leads the team with 70 hits and ranks second with 68 RBIs while adding 14 doubles and 13 home runs. Earlier this season, Jaun earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week and D3Baseball.com Team of the Week honors after batting .579 (11-for-19) with 16 RBIs, 11 runs scored and three home runs during a four-game stretch that featured wins over then-No. 15 Gettysburg and a doubleheader sweep of Muhlenberg. He currently ranks second in the conference and 14th nationally in RBIs.

Zucker made an immediate impact in his first season in a Hopkins uniform, earning First Team honors as the Blue Jays' closer. Across 21 appearances, the graduate student owns a team-best 2.32 ERA over 31.0 innings with a 2-1 record and eight saves while limiting opponents to a .218 batting average. He has allowed just eight earned runs and struck out 25 batters this season. Zucker's eight saves are tied for the most in a single season in program history and currently lead the conference while ranking ninth nationally.

Harris collected the first All-Region honor of his career with Third Team recognition following a standout senior campaign. He is batting .335/.450/.659 with 56 hits, 52 RBIs and 15 home runs while adding 13 stolen bases. Harris ranks 16th nationally in home runs and earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors earlier this season after hitting .563 (9-for-16) with four home runs — including two grand slams — and 12 RBIs during a four-game span. He also earned D3Baseball.com Team of the Week recognition twice this season, once as a second baseman and once as an outfielder.

Ary rounded out the Blue Jays' All-Region selections with Third Team honors, the first of his career. After beginning the season as the team's backup catcher, Ary emerged as a key contributor at designated hitter. In conference play, he batted .420/.531/.720 with a 1.269 OPS across 15 games, recording 21 of his 30 total hits, 18 of his 25 RBIs and four of his six home runs. Ary is the only Blue Jay hitting .400 or better this season.

Hopkins opens play at the 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship on Friday, May 29, in Eastlake, Ohio, against Baldwin Wallace. First pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m.
