BALTIMORE, MD - The seventh-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team will travel to Pittsburgh, PA for the NCAA Regional May 10-12. Eight-ranked Carnegie Mellon (12-7) will host the seven-team regional that also includes Scranton (9-7), La Roche (10-5), Mary Washington (19-4), Saint Vincent (15-4) and Marywood (12-5).

Hopkins, which is making its seventh straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, earned a first-round bye for the third straight year. The Blue Jays earned the Centennial Conference's automatic qualifier after defeating the Swarthmore Garnet in the title match on Sunday. Hopkins will face the winner of the Scranton-La Roche first round match on Saturday, May 11. The Blue Jays are 9-6 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time in program history in 2012.

Scranton is making its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament after winning the Landmark Conference with a 5-3 win over top-seeded Goucher. La Roche earned the AMCC automatic qualifier last October after the Redhawks rallied from a 4-1 deficit to defeat seven-time defending champion Penn State Behrend.

Carnegie Mellon earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after finishing second in the UAA. The Tartans are making their ninth straight appearance in the tournament and will face Marywood in the first round. Marywood won the program's 10th CSAC title, but first since 2003, to earn the automatic bid. The Pacers took down the top-seeded Gwynedd-Mercy Griffins, 5-3, in the conference title match.

Mary Washington, ranked 27th in the latest ITA poll, won its 10th straight Capital Athletic Conference title to earn an NCAA bid. The Eagles have won seven straight matches entering the tournament and will face the Saint Vincent Bearcats in the first round. Saint Vincent earned the Presidents' Athletic Conference automatic qualifier last October. Saint Vincent and Westminster finished in a tie for first place, but the Bearcats earned the bid with their 6-3 win over the Titans during the regular season.

Times and details of the Carnegie Mellon Regional will be announced on Tuesday, May 7. The winner of the regional will advance to the NCAA Elite 8 in Kalamazoo, MI on May 20.
