LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins sophomore
Anjie Kashyap has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week it was announced Monday afternoon. This is her first conference weekly honor in her career and she is the fifth Blue Jay to earn the honor in the last eight weeks.
Kashyap went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles, losing just 7 total games, to lead Hopkins to a 2-0 week. Against McDaniel, she won 8-1 at first doubles and then clinched JHU's win with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at first singles. On Saturday, Kashyap won 8-1 at first doubles and then picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at first singles in the win over Haverford.
Hopkins returns to the court on Tuesday, April 23 as the Blue Jays host the Gettysburg Bullets. The Centennial Conference match is slated for a 4:00 pm start at the JHU Tennis Courts.
