BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins women's tennis team placed three Blue Jays on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team it was announced Tuesday. The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. 
 
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or above and must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition such as ITAs and non-team scored events do not count). 
 
Hopkins has now produced 10 CSC Academic All-District selections in the last three years and 23 since 2003.

Sydney Langer (So.)
Major: Neuroscience
• 26-19 in singles and 33-15 in doubles in career
• Ranked 16^th in ITA Atlantic South in singles
• 2024 Second Team All-CC (singles)
• Made 2024 ITA Southeast Quarterfinals in singles
 
Lia Melvin (So.)
Major: Behavioral Biology
• 23-12 in singles and 30-11 in doubles in career
• Ranked 7^th in ITA Atlantic South in doubles
• Tied for 2^nd on team in singles wins (12)
• 2024 First Team All-CC (doubles), Second Team (Singles)
• Made 2024 ITA Southeast Semifinals in doubles
 
Jay Xiao (Jr.)
Major: Computer Science
• Two-time CSC Academic All-District
• Tied for 16^th in JHU history in doubles wins (43), tied for 22^nd in JHU history in total wins (75)
• Selected to 2025 NCAA Singles Championship
• 2023 ITA All-American (doubles)
• Ranked 42^nd in nation in singles
