Hall of Fame
Finished his career among the all-time leaders in numerous statistical categories and still ranks fourth in hits (171), second in triples (12), second in games played (142), and 13th in batting average (.366). As a senior, led the Blue Jays to a 33-5-1 record, the MAC Southeast Championship, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. During that season, he was named a Third Team ABCA All-American, a First Team Regional All-American, and a First Team MAC South All-Star. As a junior, he earned Regional All-America and First Team All-MAC South honors as well. Became the first player in school history to collect 55 or more hits in back-to-back seasons with his 57 hits in 1985 breaking the previous school record. Was a member of a Blue Jay baseball contingent that played a three-game exhibition series in Cuba in 1986 and was one of the founders of the Johns Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame while serving as the Director of Development for Athletics.
