Standout member of the Blue Jay lacrosse team in the late 1940's as he helped Hopkins to the USILA National Championship in 1947 and 1948. Earned First Team USILA All-America honors in 1947 and 1948, when he was also named the recipient of the Lt. Col. J.I. Turnbull Award as the nation's outstanding attackman. Was the first player in the nation to win the Turnbull Award twice. At the end of his career, was named to the William C. Schmeisser All-Time Johns Hopkins Team and was inducted into the Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1977.
